Falcated Duck Topsham, Devon 29th November 2006

A species not on the british list. It's funny how this species is never recorded as an escape in the summer, only late autumn with influxes of Wigeon.
The bird spent most of its time asleep but I managed to get some photos during the brief periods when it was awake. It was at a range of about 100 metres in front of the hide on a spit.
